An Eternal Ember

Glowing stage music concert.

The question of righteousnessand the pursuit of it; comes down to the ember, or the deception regarding having it or not. If the ember of the heart is there, it is stoked and thus the Love For/Of Christ is what in turn fires a desire to rid away from what God does not approve of: sin...also known as death. A God who is good should be trusted and not second-guessed, however, an entity that is bad or evil should be scrutinized and distrusted (demonize the demon). All too often society seems to be cross examining what is good, and giving a pass to what is bad.

Pursuing righteousness is not blasphemous, rather a desire and evidence of a relationship with a righteous God that is continually stoked. However, it is blasphemous to look upon someone and attempt to gauge their salvation based on said sins. There is a balance to what otherwise could be considered abusing grace and forgiveness.

We are not free to sin, we have been made free of sin.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
